Ever since our 2012 certified Passive House project, we have determined that the best way to keep moving forward as an architect in the realm of hyper-efficiency and towards net zero - is to do in-house energy-modeling. We have incorporated our work with energy modeling software and building science research into every phase of our design and construction process. It is important to anticipate and plan ahead for best practice. Through monitoring a building in post-occupancy, we have experienced how as a team we can work to continue to improve the performance of the building after the construction is complete.
