The owner of Heathers’ bar is an artist who is working to cultivate an artist scene and chose the location for the bar so that it would be convenient for creatives from the East Village as well as Williamsburg. The goal was to create a "dive" bar that appears to have existed for many years. The new facade uses old industrial-style hammered and diamond wire glass. A 1930s back bar, and vintage lighting and furniture were integrated with playful elements such as the tin ceiling, industrial rubber flooring, and subway tile columns. We used sustainable materials for the niche banquette, raised platform, and bar.
