Retrofit passive house underway in Brooklyn

FNA has several brownstone 2-family buildings undergoing retrofits this summer and we are implimenting passive house strategies. Riding our bikes during the pandemic to our weekly site meetings.
FNA collaborated with developer Seydina Fall on a campus for the Lac Rose region in Senegal. We entered the United Nations World Travel Organization's competition to relook at tourism during COVID-19 which "...is a unique opportunity to restart tourism in a more balanced, innovative, and sustainable way."

In this project we improved the energy performance, added an ERV for fresh air ventilation, new passive house windows, doors, and skylights, continuous insulation at front and rear facade, and solar pv on the roof - for improved comfort and energy performance.
